Karl Rove the journalist?!? That is kind of a scary thought. A very scary thought. Please, any one who stumbles upon any of his articles, or news segments, take it with a large amount of salt.
This news makes me think of a quote from a movie titled ‘The Usual Suspects’:”The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”
I’m not religious, but just to be clear I do think that Karl Rove is, potentially, the personification of evil. Perhaps he’s a nice guy to some, and even fun to be around. Who knows? But the fact that he helped George W. Bush serve eight years as the leader of the most powerful country in the world is deplorable. I can’t help but think that if Al Gore or John Kerry were president we wouldn’t be in as bad shape as we are now.
Regardless, given Rove’s expertise in his field it might be fun to analyze and read through some of his work. Readers’ interest in what he has to say and how it says it, given his prowess in the political arena, might be why news organizations, which have shareholders, have been open to the idea of him being on their payroll.
